A United Airlines passenger jet nearly collided with a drone as it was coming in to land in New Jersey on Friday, its pilot said.

Authorities say 12 people were killed when a plane crashed in Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a statement that troopers were on the scene, assisting the Butler Police Department & Bates County Sheriff’s Office.

All 12 people aboard the aircraft died on Sunday when the plane crashed shortly after takeoff near Kansas City.

It’s called the “plane purse” trick — and to my surprise, it’s become a bit of a viral trend, with travel influencers and travel professionals talking about their own versions of their plane purses on social media.

An emergency response was launched to rescue people on board the plane.
